How about a Jewish Barbie?

Mitochondrial Replacement Therapy

Heheh, mitochondria don't directly affect appearance though

I find it hard to believe fat kids would want fat dolls.

Now that there is a Black Barbie, will there ever be a Latina Barbie? Will they ever have a Native Barbie? How about a transgendered Barbie? What about an Asian Barbie?

Look closely at the pictures, there is both a close to Latina and an Asian Barbie. I'm even seeing an Irish(?) Barbie. Although I don't see a Native American Barbie, and East Indian Barbie or a Russian/Ukranian/Polish etc Barbie.

While I like this move, they'll still be relying on how many purchases of certain types of barbies will go. Chubby Barbie will be a hit with collectors but will be probably be phased out making it a super rare collectable. Depending on how things go in sales, I think collectors will be all over each of these dolls though.

It is like Barbie had been kidnapped for experiments with Mitochondrial Replacement Therapy and new clones are being marketed. Next Mattel will be in joint ventures with corporations developing humanised appearance robots. James Cameron could then proposition Barbie to become Terminator 6!

Dunno, but it does seem a lot like a lot of adults thinking too much. Aren't there any other toy or doll products on the market already which kids in different cultures like?

I remember Barbie coming out in Australia in the mid-60s, just after GI Joe dolls did contemporaneously with the Escalation phase of the Vietnam War. Look at Joe now (still alive?). Maybe Mattel can also have a mature Barbie, or Cougar Barbie, or MILF Barbie???!!! Would kids be interested in these? Probably not, but some of the adults who think too much might.

But 'fat Barbie' - lol . 'lol' rhymes with 'doll', which is all Barbie essentially is.
