Any medication you take, vaccine you receive will lower your body's own fighting powers against sickness. Immunity like a muscle.

Sorry but no, your belief has no relationship with reality. There is no known/described mechanism for the flu vaccine to lowers in any way the response against the natural infection. Immunity is not like a muscle.

Not possible. Next.

Already done, as you would know if you actually read the article.

Mate, vaccines work by infecting you with a very very mild form of the illness so that your body builds up an immunity to it in a safe and controlled way. Vaccines literally work through the strengthening of our immune system. Good grief.

The article didn’t explain how they will get round the problem that your body will recognise the introduced cells as “foreign” and attack them?

From what I read there is no need to introduce the cells to anybody, they are working on how to activate them against common proteins shared between all strains of influenza so your own cells will do the fighting.

Everybody has killer T cells, they found how to activate a subgroup of them that is quite common, its likely that the scientist are working to see if this activation can work with other subgroups so everybody can become immune in the same way.

This is a natural organic fighting power

Over half the world population already have these killer T-cells

That means there's an already greater than 50% chance you already have these killer T-cells!

It's using nature to fight nature

Are ya guys afraid of your own bodies?

Other than that it sounds an interesting potential developement.

virusrex et al you are right but you will never persuade the ignorant and the willfully deluded alas.

Am looking forward to not having to suffer the flu anymore.

Stop taking the flu shot, it’s written right here. We’re just killing our natural fighting powers.... wait, no. We already have

Really it would have taken fewer keystrokes to say "I have no idea how vaccines work" but go off I guess

I think I'll pass on having Big Pharma's "killer" cells injected into my body.

So you just write things without even bothering to read the article? interesting way to showing prejudice.

There is no known mechanism for the flu shot to weaken in any way immunity. It either improves the reaction to the strains it is used against or leaves the individual same as before (noneffective) outside of magical explanations it never lowers the immunity below unvaccinated individuals' levels.

so... another very effective treatment we’ll render useless because of overuse and developed immunity. Great.

Influenza viruses continuously mutate to evade recognition by our immune system, and they are vastly diverse, making it nearly impossible to predict and vaccinate against the strain that will cause the next influenza pandemic
