Sickle cell anemia is a bad disorder, almost a death sentence. It mostly affects Black people and its affected usually don't live long. Victoria Gray is 34 and she may a pioneer in the total elimination of this disease.

I remember as a 17-year-old the retired dentist Barney Clark getting the first artificial heart. Medical advances are wonderful, making our lives longer.

It can happen.
