Why not? Even those who have had Covid. Cant believe this is reality.

As private companies they can do what they want....But, customers can always switch providers. "Discriminate against me, lose my business. "

For an insurance company, the question will be whether vaccination status is a good predictor of being hospitalised and dying, or whether there is actually some other data point that is far better at predicting these outcomes. For example, 78% of Americans hospitalised with Covid have been either overweight or obese according to the CDC. With big data, insurance companies may be in a good position to predict your Covid risk without ever needing to know whether or not you were vaccinated.

A lot of the unvaccinated are being cautious because they have existing health problems. I think it is better for them to let the rest get vaccinated and wait and see if there is a problem, rather than clogging the hospitals with vaccine side effects.

They all charge 10,000 USD per year then another ten thousand for each hospital stay. That means if you don't like one scam company just choose another scam company (or just stay in Japan and rely on government healthcare)

Of course they can. Premiums are based on risk. Non vaccinated are at a higher risk of getting covid so obviously a higher premium. Their lack of logic and sound reasoning would also make them higher risk for every other kind of insurance.

The hypocrites who decide these things should (but won’t) extend this to imbibing (associated with negative health outcomes, domestic violence and other social ills partly paid for by those who don’t drink). Just as well we have Big Data and algorithms and the best of woke intentions to guide us when we extend this idea of charging for relative risk and it prescribes higher premiums for smoking, drinking, driving vaxxed and lower for non drinking, non smoking, non driving non vaxxed aged under 50.

It doesn't generally worl that way. How much do you know about how insurance rates are determined? Every company will face the same actuarial math and raise rates to compensate for increasing payouts. It is not a case where one company isn't facing increasing payouts for Covid-19 related illness and is able to keep rates the same. The losses will occur across the industry. The actuarial math is going to look pretty much the same for every insurance company.

Insurance companies will charge unvaccinated people more because they are at risk of contracting covid.

Insurance companies will charge vaccinated people more because they are at risk of developing debilitating side effects from the vaccine.

A win-win situation for the insurance industry!

Will health insurance companies provide coverage for side effects or disability resulting from vaccination?

I think we all the answer to that.

With big data, insurance companies may be in a good position to predict your Covid risk without ever needing to know whether or not you were vaccinated.

Seeing how vaccination is a hugely important factor to see if an infected person will or not be hospitalized or die it makes no sense not to offer something for the insured to be vaccinated and inform the insurance company, at that point anybody not taking this advantage can be assumed to be unvaccinated.

Insurance companies will charge vaccinated people more because they are at risk of developing debilitating side effects from the vaccine.

A millionth of the increased risk to the health from being unvaccinated, so they will charge a millionth of what they charge unvaccinated people? hardly enough to justify the costs of doing it.

One of the few good thinks about insurance is that decisions are made with hard cold data without need to give consideration to irrational complains, vaccines lower the risk for anybody for which they are indicated, so it is in the best interest of insurance companies to promote vaccination so they can profit the most from people paying their fees while staying healthy.

Will health insurance companies provide coverage for side effects or disability resulting from vaccination?

I think we all the answer to that.

Everybody knows the answer but conspiracy fanatics, that refuse to be informed that this myth was debunked clearly already.
