High blood pressure by itself does not cause difficulty with breathing and puffing or feeling like crap all the time. High blood pressure is called the Silent Killer because it has no perceivable symptoms. However what you are describing very strongly suggests that you should see a cardiologist who may suggest an ECG, Echo, MRA etc to determine if you have an issue.

Off course Home units are not totally accurate not precise, they are a Y 5000 produce. They good enough to use multiple time and a average work out. I have one and do a average over 5 takes. I do this 2 weeks everyday before my 6 months checkup, write in it down and give it to my doctor which he instruct me to do .When I with my doctor he hook me up to his accurate unit and continuously take my BP over the check up. I don't think any doctor with say that the home unit in totally accurate. But will help out with his assessment if use correctly.
