If you have ever been to US it is easy to see that people probably lose sleep because they are too fat. The 2 groups mentioned are especially fat and that is probably why they lose sleep.

I rarely sleep less than 7 hours a night, and rarely skip my afternoon nap. If I'm tired, I'm not as quick on my toes, and I can see the impact on my performance clearly.

Don't think being fat as such is the reason people lose sleep, unless they have sleep apnea as a consequence of it.. I rarely sleep more than six hours a night and I'm a long way from being fat. I think the clue is more likely to be in the very last paragraph - too much blue light from computer or phone screens before or when going to bed. Although that's not the reason in my case - I'm just cursed.

US citizens are supposed to lose weight, instead they lose sleep? Double tragedy at its best.

The 888 rule still seems like a solid one to me. The 8 hour work day was the norm for decades for a reason.

8 hours sleep

8 hours work

8 hours play and everything else.

@Matt Harwell

6-14-4 is the rule of my Japanese boyfriend, and he looks better, more handsome and more healthy than all idols and Hollywood celebrities altogether.
