The pot should be lab tested for cbd and thc levels, pesticides or dangerous drugs, then labeled by government standards and sold responsibly which might reduce any mental issues. The other side of the issue may be that some not all people can not tolerate pot which is also why some people should not drink alcohol.

Adults can hallucinate and smoke weed when they smoke it too, if they've never done it. It does that to some people.
I worked with a guy who never smoked weed and was both mellow and paranoid. Was sure that someone was out to get him.
I'm not sure what your anecdote has to do with anything.
Ridiculous. There is nothing morally wrong with choosing to intoxicate oneself. I'm sure that the large majority of posters on this site did it in the past two days. Singapore is ridiculous with their laws. It's a nanny state. I love the city, and it's a great place, but lets not pretend they have anything resembling reasonable drug laws.
What's artificial about marijuana?

Everything in moderation, folks.

Create a nanny state? I never would.
And you still didn't answer the question, what is artificial about marijuana?

Lee Quan Yew knew what he was doing when he created Singapore. You go do what he did, then I might listen.

this is no brainer stuff. Singapore and other countries who have past experiences with vast numbers of their population addicted to drugs already know this; its why they have the death penalty for it now and instead encourage their youth to get MBAs and engineering degrees. There is no long term benefit from an artificial high.
