The study and findings are consistent with decades of existing research and knowledge regarding nutrition and autism. Those in Japan can read this book for some further insight https://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/4413043715/

People will read the headline, draw a conclusion based from that only, and then try to assert that doctors have found a cure for autism

Any person who equated the headline which says ‘may improve symptoms” to “has been cured” and didn’t read the article or do any more research into the matter would be a complete and utter idiot.

That is an irresponsible and dishonest headline.

Even though vitamin and omega-3 supplements appeared to help children with autism in the current study, Fraguas agreed it's premature to advise parents to start giving kids these supplements.

"Currently, we cannot make a specific recommendation regarding dietary interventions as treatments for autism spectrum disorder," Fraguas said.

People will read the headline, draw a conclusion based from that only, and then try to assert that doctors have found a cure for autism. Parents may even begin to give their children supplements that are unnecessary, unproven, and that could even be dangerous.

That headline needs to be changed immediately.
