"People are not aware that this is a test that can actually save lives,"

But people are aware that stopping smoking can actually save lives. Yet many still smoke.

Because of course, they are scared of the elephant in the room.

Scrote:

I was referring to people who smoke, not people who have suffered from passive smoking and those who get lung cancer by means other than active smoking.

I have sympathy for smokers who want to give up the disgusting habit. They need and support. But there are those who have absolutely no desire to stop. And I have no sympathy for these people.

The world has not taken in a single word spoken by Yul Brynner.

Smoking also causes bladder cancer. I think it's because smokers are afraid of the results of this test. I've lost way too many family and friends to smoke caused lung and bladder cancer.

I'm sure most are aware. But most of them just want non-smokers to help foot the medical bills through the national health system. If you know smoking can give you cancer and you make no effort to stop, then you really should pay for your own medical treatment. I'd rather see my monthly payments go towards helping people recover from illnesses through no fault of their own.

The problem with that is that some people will get lung cancer anyway, whether they smoke or not. Smoking increases the probability of getting lung cancer, but not all lung cancers are caused by smoking. It's better not to discriminate based on lifestyle choices.

The most common cancer for smokers is colon cancer, not lung cancer.
