In ten years, Tokyo will have trendy little shops with delicious coffee and cake where vaccines against not only Lyme disease but also really obscure diseases are offered.... for a trendy price. There will be Vaccine Bar tours for wealthy foreign residents.

Okay, more seriously, a vaccine for tick-borne diseases will be great, as the incidence of such diseases has been growing rapidly.

I highly recommend Sawyer permethrin spray for clothes and tents to take care of ticks. Works wonders as an easy preventative precaution.

It seems too soon to say if this will be an effective measure or not, but at least it is something very interestingto research, tick borne diseases are numerous and quite dangerous, if a single vaccine can reduce the risk from all of them at the same time it would be a huge advance.
