I thought it was the eggs giving me high cholesterol, bugger now i have to blame the beer.

The link between eggs and high cholesterol has been shown to not actually be a link. They aren't actually entirely sure what causes high cholesterol yet - looks to be mainly genetics - but they do know that eating eggs won't raise your cholesterol.
Weight Watchers has recently given eggs a 'zero' score, which means that people on the weight watchers diet can eat as many eggs as they want, and it doesn't count against the foods they can eat in a given day.

I like eggs so I guess this is good news. These days it seems like everything that was thought bad for you is actually good and vice versa, just eat what you want in moderation and you'll probably end up all right.

Cholesterol is produced by our bodies to address other issues. It is like a bandaid being blamed for the cut. Cholesterol lowering drugs that don't address the real underlying issue are masking the problem, not fixing anything.
Cholesterol from foods have not been shown to have positive or negative health impacts. But many foods high in cholesterol do have other not-so-great things which shouldn't be over indulged.

Doctors here are still peddling the myth that eggs raise LDL cholesterol. My husband's doctor told him this a couple of days back, it's utter nonsense.

I eat 2-3 eggs a day. Soft boiled.

Eggs are an integral part of my diet as I work out (weightlifting) 2-3 times a week. Massive amounts of protein and easy to cook.

As a bodybuilder, I eat more than 8-12 egg whites a day, they are a very important and essential part of my diet. Egg white omelette with spinach and turkey bacon, egg white laced protein shake can’t beat it.

new study had shown that food has very little to do with cholesterol level. Beside, liver will create cholesterol if there is not enough. Never mind the new founding of Omega-3 shows that it really has no prove of preventing heart decease. It was created based on inuit people's diet rather than science.

I like a soft boiled egg with soldiers to dip. Nice with a cup of rea.

This is hardly any solid endorsement of eggs. This was only an association not a causal study. And it was just one egg, not the dozens most people around the world eat (typical western diet)
Eggs are not healthy and cholesterol especially the amounts most people eat is not healthy or safe.

Fried eggs over easy are a central part of my favourite breakfast.

It depends. I don’t fry them. I use the raw or powder form for shakes, others cooked, boiled.

You're peddling old, outdated science there. Pretty much every nutricionist out there agrees eggs are good for you now, and all the science is showing they don't impact your cholesterol levels.
Time to do a bit fo research.

"Studying half-a-million healthy adults aged 30-79 over almost nine years" That is serious
research. Not some telephone survey.

To be fair, it's the science that was peddled for years and even decades. It's only in the last 10 years or so that they are starting to see that what they were saying about eggs was entirely wrong.
I went through all this with my brother a year or so ago. He was sure eggs were bad for you. It took me months of sending him all sorts of studies that showed they are not before he finally came to accept that what he had been told was wrong.

bass: "As a bodybuilder, I eat more than 8-12 egg whites a day..."
What do you do with the yolks, bass? Please don't tell me you throw them away...
"Egg white omelette with spinach and turkey bacon..."
That turkey bacon can't be good for health...
