Unfortunately there will always be opportunists trying to get at least a little bit of recognition by quickly following some health development with terrible attempts to be scientific, real journals like The Lancet at least will keep most of these false/mistaken/bad quality reports from being published, but there are a huge lots of fake journals that will publish all kinds of trash for a fee.

Couple that with people that are not really looking for good information, only something that confirms their own mistaken assumptions and you got a recipe for disaster. Even here there are a couple of people that endlessly repeat the discredited theory that the virus has been artificially produced, and to "support" this, they use horrible reports badly put together and published by fake journals or pre-published without review.
