"This is a gap and a weakness in our public health system that monkeypox has exposed," Dr. Meg Doherty, director of the WHO's Global HIV, Hepatitis and STIs Programs, said in an email.

The WHO agency has dropped the ball continuously, misjudging this monkeypox disease, inadequately finding the malaria vaccine initiative, and one fo the biggest gaffes its misguided advice that defied medical experts when it advised against masks at the beginning of the Covid crisis.

Experts in both countries agreed that monkeypox was a wake-up call for more investment in sexual health. "It is time we do something," said NCSD's Harvey.

This disease, formerly transmitted mainly by monkeys, is now spread heavily by humans.

I guess monkey pox didnt really catch on, so curious to see what they throw out next.

Marburg. Bill Gates has it as one his 'one to watch' for no real reason as far as I can see.

Two cases of the Marlburg virus, which is a highly infectious hemorrhagic virus similar to ebola, have been reported in Ghana. The fatality rate is 24% - 88%.

Whatever other virus the NIH and WIV have been working on...

That would be much much less dangerous than what is actually happening, and that is natural pathogens of every possible kind being introduced to the human population as it has happened countless times during history.

The problem with antiscientific bias is that no matter what is reported it is all a conspiracy. What information of the article is false? what would not be of the interest of the public?

That is the thing, if people make every effort to ignore the reasons then everything happens for "no reason they can see". If something is considered something to pay attention before outbreaks expand then it will be called unjustified alarm, but it is left to spread and causes a high number of cases and deaths then it will be called a failure to be reported on time.
