Bad dog? Research suggests superbug link to man's best friend

Interesting news, at least now the experts can take care of this as one possible route of transmission of antibiotic resistant bacteria. It will probably not be easy to solve and will take time, but the first step to solve a problem is to identify it.

The main route to antibiotic resistance is their overuse in agriculture, particularly on Corporate farms, where they are used, or have been used, widely, to increase the growth of livestock, and bad prescribing by physicians who themselves do not understand that one does not prescribe an antibiotic for a cold. The animals lose the molecule through the kidneys and it is dumped upon the ground wily-nily in urine giving the various organisms constant low level exposure and allowing the selection for resistant varieties of, say, Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), Streptococcus pneumoniae, et alia, whose new variants then work their way into the Human herd. One of the greatest discoveries of Mankind nearly destroyed by greed and ignorance and returned to us as a pox upon Humanity almost as great as Corporate itself...

Dogs are not wolves. The have evolved over time to eat human scraps, not so much hunt and survive only on fresh kill. Dogs actually need some vegetable matter in their diet to be healthy. Too much protein is not good for them. The few times our dogs have snatched a raw steak or raw chicken from the kitchen counter when our backs were turned (Honey, were did the steaks go? lol) the dogs were very sick afterwards with vomiting and diarrhea. Dog owners with this raw diet fetish are not really doing their dogs any good. And now we find they are not doing their owners any good either.

So dogs aren’t the problem at all, it’s some of their manufactured food.

Another problem easily solved via hi-tech.

Simply replace existing dog breeds with robotic substitutes. No more bacteria laden feeding or messy dog faeces disposal.

And with the proper programming, the dog can be as loving as any live pet, a more alert watchdog, a superior hunting dog, or even with additional capabilities not found in ordinary bio units.
