"Mixed results" in these sorts of studies usually means that the Big Pharma people are arguing with the real scientists because something hidden in the results might have a negative effect upon Big Pharma profits. And if it is thought that Big Pharma wouldn't try to smear positive results of a nonBig Pharma substance that might have a positive impact on people's health obviating some one or other of their poisons and its profits, you don't know Corporate. You haven't been paying attention to pharmaceutical and medical news sources which tell us that, as an example, the U.S. Corporate healthcare system is killing independently of presenting issue through incompetence, neglect, erroneous diagnosis, drug interactions, and a whole list of other incompetencies approximately 250,000 Americans EVERY YEAR. Google 'third leading cause of death in the U.S.'. Going to your doctor in the U.S. is more dangerous than chain smoking tobacco and way more dangerous than riding in a car. But then Americans prefer to take a relatively dangerous medication with minimal benefit, statins, than do just a bit of eating less and moving around more. And the adverts for this particular drug say it is ONLY effective when combined with diet and exercise but has ghastly side effects for those so affected such as peripheral neuropathy, precocious dementia, and others for the most minimal of 'benefit' but enormous profit for the drug pushers. Example from this article: "Vascepa costs around $280 a month; many insurers cover it. Amarin sponsored the study and some study leaders work or consult for the company." Hmmm. Objective research. Or as objective as it gets when profit is involved. Trust your doctor! Well, actually, fear your doctor and understand that many of them are as much victims of Corporate medicine as their patients, trapped in a system which sees American physicians as having the highest suicide rate of any other discernible population segment. This system even kills its own.
