It is a very well known fact that smoking (anything, including wildfire smoke) will negatively affect both the sperm count and sperm quality/mobility. This has become a huge problem, with dropping fertility all over the world. Couples experiencing infertility issues are advised in the beginning to change to a healthy lifestyle, as very often correlations can be made.

As with most environment articles, lots of information that is probably peer-reviewed and well researched but destined to be ignored and dismissed because its not what we want to hear.

We have a woodstove in our home, they are very trendy, and it is emerging that the official pollution testing of them is worthless and more rigged than the testing of diesel cars was. This includes EPA testing in the USA. Most reported figures are from the manufacturers themselves. In independent tests, every stove produced huge multiples of the reported PM2.5 and unburnt hydrocarbons. You also get a cloud of PM2.5 every time you open the door to refuel. Since woodstoves are popular and the flames are lovely, our stove has a huge window displaying them, I expect this research to be ignored.

That’s all no news and common logic or knowledge. But what do those celebrated gentlemen suggest now? Cutting all trees or stop breathing? lol
