fatigue, brain fog, shortness of breath, anxiety and other problems

Those are also typical symptoms of AIT so my guess is covid only makes your thyroid condition worse. The key solution of these like in case with AIT may be a proper diet (like the one in case of autoimmune disorders) and supplements arranged by a certified nutritionist.

it may be latent viruses as well, such as EpsteinBarr or cytomegalovirus. In all cases a proper diagnosis can only be done by a doctor after taking blood tests.

in general, it wont harm to take vitC daily, along with zinc (no more than 30 mg daily) amidst all this, and lysine (in case you still got sick).

ive just overcome omicron and feel better than i thought i would. Its hard to tell if one will get long covid only because they get omicron. It depends on your health condition, lifestyle and chronical diseases. Vaccination of course important.

Yes, this is not something that is really talked about. It will take on a new direction now with all the children becoming infected. This issue should be better monitored so that there will be greater clarity for the care and treatment of those infirmed...

It would be trivially easy to detect thyroid pathology, and not exactly something so cryptic that doctors don't think about it. It is naive to think none of the numerous patients have seen a nutritionists that would have noticed the effect of any specific diet or dietary supplement.

It depends on your health condition, lifestyle and chronical diseases.

The important thing is that even being in top healthy condition and with a good lifestyle do not guarantee people will not develop the syndrome, so the best measures to avoid it is to not getting infected in the first place.

Indeed. Ive heard of many people in top condition die from covid. Its still a very mysterious disease. But in general mending to your health wont do harm and its still the best option and solution that works for many people.

Not getting infected seems impossible to me at this point of time.

Ive just noted that because of my own personal experience. I do not have a medical education but ive researched lots of everything and tried lots of everything since ive been diagnosed with AIT thats the only reason ive commented because i see that symptoms are very similar. Ive also had EpsteinBarr infection for many years so i can tell as far as symptoms considered. Im not trying to state anything as a fact.

Can you get long COVID after an infection with Omicron?

It’s too early to know for sure, but many doctors believe it’s possible to have long-term effects from the Omicron variant of the virus.

...and many others do not. Since Omicron symptoms are mild to to begin with (zero symptoms in my case), long zero does not sound too scary for me. If there are some mysterious long-term effects, we better hope for the best, as we are all going to get in contact with Omicron.
