My step-father in America got hepatitis C from a blood transfusion at a hospital. He had to live with the disease for 25 years with a heavy regime of various expensive drugs. Eventually he was cured but so often in pain. Another terrible disease.

There is a cure for hep C. It takes about 8 months, and costs about $100,000. Not that costly considering it is your life.
