Am aware of the hypothesis and it does sound like a plausible, especially in countries like the UK that get less sunlight.
And while it is being looked at as a possible explanation, it is not accurate to say that there is a "proven association with immunity".

But does this explain the death rate among enthnic minority doctors?
I accept that obesity is an issue among ethnic minorities in the UK, and many work in jobs that bring them into contact with others, so the chances of exposure are higher, but doctors?

I’ve seen it mentioned dozens of times now. It’s not secret information.
It’s also nothing new, nor has anything changed. Being overweight increases the odds of unhealthiness and mortality.
But people still eat unhealthy foods. They are addictive, cheap, and convenient.

In the UK the biggest contributing factor to a death from Covid-19 is old age (being older than 70 years)
Next is obesity.... 74% of deaths recorded were overweight. Though this is hardly ever mentioned. Fear of fat shaming?

People with darker skin make less vitamin D, leading to weaker immunity.
Why doesn't the media talk more about the widespread deficiency of vitamin D (especially among darker skinned people) and its proven association with immunity?

Whites were the number one spreaders in America, minorities were not traveling to places, bringing the virus, back to America, they were being exposed by Whites, who they had come in contact with them while in public
