No comments. Hmmm... Must be no heavy drinkers around here, then.

What exactly does 60 grams of pure alcohol look like? My alcohol is usually measured in liquid form (ml, fl oz, etc)

The article clearly states "6 or more standard drinks" per day. A standard drink might be one beer or one glass of wine.

You don't need a scientific report to determine heavy alcohol use causes dementia. Just walk down any skid row or area where down and outers reside. You will see plenty of people with dementia. Certain parks in Tokyo have abundant viewing opportunities.

I pint (If that is USA measure) =473.18 ml. Many beer cans are 350 ml. The above "zichi" comment reckons 2.6 pints, that would be (am I right?) about 1279 ml, which is between 3 and 4 beer cans at that size. There are larger cans, however. One or more Japanese popular singers recommend "NIHON" or "two drinks" [literally, "two long things"] per night. This includes women in the discussion, for our recommended portion is said to be less (Due to real differences in rate of digestion of alcohol scientifically recorded as sex-distinctive.)

Checking my early morning arithmetic with a calculator, I find it is even less: 1230 is the USA measure for 2.6 Pints as milliliters. Still, it is between 3 and 4 beers at 350 ml per can, but closer to 3.
