Hardly a day goes by that I am not amazed by another medical innovation. When I was a kid, scientists had not yet discovered the existence of DNA. By comparison, what they can do today seems like magic.

DNA was discovered and isolated in the 1800's. It's structure was first understood in the 1950's.
