It's sad too because unless you are keeping track of it yourself, your friends and family are the only ones that can initiate the process. I noticed this with my father and I and my sister tried to get my dad reviewed by his doctor and it was like they refused to consider the fact even though it was obvious if you asked the right questions because he could hold a normal conversation that did not require precise information. He could tell you stories all day or remember events that happened in the past but medicine, food he ate last week, or mundane things that he should be able to remember were non-existant unless what he needed to remember caused him stress.

Is it really surprising that it takes time to diagnose dementia? As we got older, we forget a lot from time to time. It seems normal. I forget people's names and place names a lot. Those of similar age around me seem to be the same. Is that a sign of dementia or of just getting older? (Or are dementia and getting old basically the same?)
To me, dementia symptoms are when very strange behavior takes place. Walking in the wrong direction to go home; a sister attacking her older sister for something she did 70 years ago; talking to a picture on the wall for over an hour. But is it really feasible to identify symptoms that lead to such behavior years before?

Sad. Dr Frank Suarez, former metabolism doctor, mentioned that refined oils from seeds,(canola, corn, sunflower, etc), are the main cause of Alzheimer’s.
He recommended avocado oil, olive oil, and coconut oil.
in other words, when you eat food that included or used any of these processed oils, you are adding to your chance of developing Alzheimer’s or dementia.
Hus videos are still in Facebook and are very informative. Though in Spanish.
There is another person by the name of El Yerberito, Jose Torres from Sabana Grande PR who has a data base of herbal remedies for different conditions. Also lots of testimonials of people who got cured from different conditions. Again, his page is in Spanish.

Looking at that checklist, I think that I’m answering ‘yes’ to most of those questions…

From personal observation, I'd say one of the first dead giveaways is the inability to operate a TV remote control unit.

Fortunately this is just an exaggeration born from an invalid generalization of very limited data that is not even from human patients. There is no epidemiological evidence of this being the case, and for anything that is so common this is not something that could happen.
The problem with your reference is that instead of publishing actual scientific articles (where the methodologies and data are under the scrutiny of experts anywhere in the world) he is just making videos, this clearly indicate his opinions can easily be debunked by proper peer review, so he is forced to descend to the level of influencers to avoid that scrutiny. The same for people that love to recommend herbs and supplements (here is your discound code!) based on unverifiable, uncontrolled testimonies instead of actual evidence. Snake oil would be useful for Alzheimer according to the same "evidence".
