Monoclonal antibodies are a very effective way to neutralize viruses but it is difficult to see them used as a generalized treatment. They are expensive and complicated to produce, they have some risks and applied too late has the possibility of making them not only ineffective but even dangerous.

It is more likely they will be used on very specific patients, infected and with high risk of complications but not yet very sick, or as a preventive measure for people without a proper immunity and with a risk of exposure (for example cancer patients that require treatment in a hospital).
