This is definitely true. One needs to get proper rest and sleep each night to avoid risks of cardiac arrest. That being said, I was awake all night and starring at this screen like zombie in Sakai.

I wake up at 4:30 every single day no matter what time I go to sleep. I think it is that little green cub bike clanking away delivering stop and go news papers.

If insomnia increases your heart attack risk, it follows that reading this article can lower your heart attack risk.

I often wake up several times a night. When i tell anyone, they say it's age. I guess that's where the expression comes from, I slept like a baby.

I hate news stories like these.

X researchers have found Y linked to Z and it's bad news for you so you'd better feel depressed and worry about it.

I think someone should do research into the link between these kind of stories and depression.

The simple solution is to never read them.

Insomnia is a common problem more than we think. People do not want to talk about it as it has a negative stigma attached to it. However, this is very true. Seek medical professionals for help before a major (venticular) heart attack.

Do normal people really wake up feeling refreshed, on a regular basis?

I only start feeling refreshed several hours after waking up, and usually not until the midday meal is over. And this is true whether I've slept for more than eight hours or less.

Eating late at night encourages insomnia

Untreated depression and anxiety may lead to insomnia too.

I used to work with MORMONS, yes those clean cut guys, no alcohol no coffee etc..THEY ARE SO HEALTHY!! One day I decided to CHALLENGE myself to be like them, stay away from beer, wine, any kind of caffeine and WOW!! Now I respect them, before I would drink coffee like 5 times a day then at night I COULD NOT SLEEP no matter how tired I was, I too wired up from all that bloody caffeine! So I would go to a conbini and buy a couple of beers, chuhis?? CHU HAIS?? with otsumami, beef jerky etc..every night, I did not sleep well would wake up every morning with a hang over etc..but now thanks to my MORMON AMIGOS, I am clean of alcohol, and do not touch coffee, I am WIDE AWAKE during the day because I HAD A GREAT NIGHTS SLEEP and geez I am losing weight, feeling better than ever and as somebody pointed out, a nice work out at the gym or jogging also get rid of a lot of STRESS from just sitting here at my job in front of my PC and then when my boss is not looking I get to play with my PC and post you all on JT..
