Only for antivaxxers that apparently fear any kind of warning that proves vaccines are extremely necessary, for the rational people this is something worthy of giving attention in order to limit its effect on the public health of the countries that will be negatively affected.
Measles is a dangerous disease that is taken very seriously by the experts and trivializing the suffering it causes is something that demonstrate complete lack of emphaty.

Incorrect @Wobot. Maybe you referring to Rubella. Measles IS quite dangerous in the under 5s and over 20s. I was immunized, when I was 2 or 3 in line with my countries guidelines at the the time.
You know that as a global community deaths in the early 1980s were around 2.5 million a year. Due to vaccines that was down to around 70,000 by 2014 - with a massive increase in population. Now, thanks to you lot , yes people like you, spreading misinformation its on the rise again.
This one you are 100% wrong on. It is NOT fear mongering. And if you are quoting the NHS, I assume you are from the UK and immunized also. You..do NOT want measles. The damage afterwards to the body can be permanent.

And @Wobot, I just went to look at the website you decide to copy ONE quote from. You fail to mention that its one of the few diseases that you are urged to contact a Doctor or the Health Services immediately if you suspect your child has it. You wonder why many of us cannot take you seriously.

Pretending measles is a mild disease is a new low. I wish people that try to convince others of this had a chance to spend a day in a pediatric ward during an outbreak. That would open their eyes (or not, some people are just that self centered).
