Bring back the unvaccinated nurses who were unjustly fired

People that put their irrational ideas as a higher priority than the health of the patients are not exactly the kind of nurses you want working, specially when patient care is already deficient.

The actual solution is to invest in improving the working conditions instead of assuming the nurses have to sacrifice themselves for little pay and lousy treatment. The ones that are still doing their jobs are the actual professionals that hospitals should be treating much better.

Easier recognition of foreign professionals is a good way to alleviate the workload but it will not solve everything and it comes with some problems of their own, at the end this is a very difficult problem to solve and will require some sacrifices to be made, it is just that expecting the nurses to be the ones doing them.

Raise their wages significantly with a promise of shorter working hours once the shortage problem is solved. Also important is to listen to the Nurse's Associations and find out what their grievances are.

Exactly the same problem in the UK. Chronic shortage of nurses caused by low pay, long hours, too many incidents of violence and abuse and a too heavy workload. UK nurses currently voting on strike action. Enough is enough

They are already at CAD$90~100 per hour.

To solve the problem, it must first be defined and I don't think in this case wages is defined as the problem, rather staff shortages.

Due to / during the stages of COVID, no doubt the supply and demand has fluctuated alot, this coupled with the overall trend in the number of RN's leading up to COVID can present some challenges. But staffing shortages are not solved overnight.

I'd put a little more blame on the patient than the "work environment" for throwing feces at people.

I believe that the starting wage for an RN in Canada is 35 dollars an hour and they get time an hour for overtime work. From my understanding many nurses and other medical health workers quit their jobs when they were forced to take the vaccine, but I am not sure what the status now is for workers who are unvaccinated this is what I heard from an elderly aunt who needed an operation.

Population growth in many areas in Canada is crazy, overwhelming essential services. It's the same story with trying to get kids enrolled in local public schools, the world's most overwhelmed airports, people waiting ages for passports, applying for benefits. I have given up trying to talk with Canadian tax officials. Their phone lines stay busy from the second they open to the second they close. Every time to you talk to a Canadian, you hear the different horror story on the same theme.

No wonder -- Canada's got the highest immigration rate in the world., The govt official policy is to inflate the population to least 50 mil. from the current 35. This is the main reason that services are chaotic and falling apart. But the media - not to mention regular folks - can't or won't mention this.

Low-growth Japan is waaaay better in this area. The services are quick, efficient and fully staffed. A stark contrast, to say the least!
