This is an important factor, fortunately Omicron is behaving as a less dangerous infection also in children, but that is still a very different matter from it being "just a cold" so proper care should still be taken to avoid putting children at unnecessary risk.

This honesty is refreshing. But instead of "but it's not more severe", the title should say "but it's less severe".

Those are two very different things, the evidence until now can let scientist conclude with a good degree of certainty it is not more severe, not that it is less.

The kids rate of mortality is fairly low, but looking at some of the data shows a lot of missing/unknown for a positive test and also a large amount of unknown if there are underlying conditions:

And in other COVID news, the agreement between Japan and the military is now restricting personnel to their bases. It has made national news in the US.

I've had a couple of friends who got sick along with their entire families over the holidays. Everyone I know who's survived CoVid-19 has said the same, it's the most horrible feeling in the world. They all say 'you don't wanna get it' It doesn't matter if it's the original version, delta, omicron, or the rumored 'idris' if it exists.
