Peninsula Tokyo turns pink for breast cancer awareness month in October

Each October, the annual Peninsula in Pink campaign raises awareness and funds for local charities that are leading the fight against breast cancer and providing much-needed care for patients. Over the course of the month, guests may enjoy pink-inspired dining and spa experiences, with 500 yen from each sale being donated to the Japan Breast Cancer Screening Society and Keep A Breast Japan.

In a show of solidarity with cancer survivors and their families, and underscoring the architect’s vision of a Japanese lantern when lit at night, The Peninsula Tokyo will become a shining pink beacon, when all sides of its soaring 100-meter exterior are illuminated in pink. All staff members will wear a specially commissioned pink ribbon pin, and the hotel’s decorative bouquets will also feature pink-colored flowers.

Guests can also enjoy specially designed pink-themed welcome amenities, dining and spa promotions, and pink ribbon pins will be on sale to raise additional funds for the selected breast cancer foundations.

Check yourselves regularly, folks, for lumps, masses, irregularities, puckered skin, and nipple discharge. It could add years to your life to do so.
