Absolutely true. But be sure to buy pure, unadulterated olive oil--read label carefully.

Combinations are the keypoint, and a similar reaction was found combining olive oil with tomato boosting antioxidant value of vitamin C*.

Be sure not to use extra virgin olive oil for frying food. It is not for that purpose and will make it worst. Extra virgin olive oil is for dipping, spray it on salad or mix with red wine vinegar for bread (yummy).
