In 2019, "scientists" warned everybody to get their flu shot because 650,000 die from influenza every year.

In 2020, those same scientists said, "oh that 650,000 was basically pulled out of a hat, nobody really dies from influenza"

They keep changing their tune to suit the political wind of the day.

Have to wonder how many of the "COVID-19" deaths are really deaths from underlying conditions and old age.

There's been conspiracy theorists, racist lies and misinformation on the US media for nearly 30 years, turning Americans into zombies and it HAS TO STOP!!!

Disinformation does not require evidence, logic or ethical standards, just people firmly stating what they want to believe. So those that want to get information get convinced by this, invest their own self worth in knowing these "hidden truths" and become ardent defendant of the lies themselves.

On the other hand true information is much more modest, and in situations like these is bound to change somewhat as we begin to understand more and more, so people get disappointed and exasperated.

So, when choosing between a difficult truth and easy lies its only natural the lies have advantages. But precisely because of that is why everybody has the responsibility of repeating and recommending only precise information backed up with scientific evidence.

Science communication needs improving because the scientists overestimate the ability of people to understand, most research is locked behind paywalls so can't be read, and the media sensationalise everything (and journalists often don't understand it anyway).

This is a good video from two scientists discussing epidemiological research and the psychology behind individuals' approach to such risk (you can check out their credentials, lots of research between them):

most experts believe that the deaths are under reported, nursing homes cant be sued for their residence that die of old age, they can be sued for residence dieing of covid19 as that makes them liable for not providing due care

Even if someone dies from Covid-19 because of underlying conditions, it was the virus which killed them.

Big Pharma will cause a pandemic to get funding to develop a vaccine. The guy who fixes broken windows during the day is the same guy chucking stones through plate glass at night.
