Test makers target monkeypox market as cases surge

It is unclear whether infected but symptomatic individuals can spread the virus, says the WHO, so it's not known if precautionary testing of suspected cases is needed.

Although this agency has been wrong multiple times on other health matters, at least the WHO is correct in that it does not know about spreading the virus or on testing matters related to monkeypox. It would be beneficial to hear from a scientific institution or a health authority on these matters.

The WHO is a medical and scientific authority according the the scientific community, you being contradicted in your beliefs by what they say is not a reason to say they are wrong. In this case there is no evidence whatsoever that indicate they are wrong in their assessment and no recognized expert disagrees with them.

The WHO is a scientific authority on public health matters, that means you already have heard from the authority most adequate to collect the information of the outbreak on a global scale and give precise information and recommendatiosn about it, Being an agency do not change that, in fact it is what makes it possible.

Also, when you end up discussing grammar that means you have no argument to disprove the opponent.

What is to fear about tests? it is the opposite, when an outbreak happens and containment becomes a priority not having reliable tests is a much more scary situation.

Should that not be "asymptomatic"? On the WHO's website, it has this: "The extent to which asymptomatic infection may occur is unknown."
