Hopefully he's not knowingly lying like Myorkas did about the open borders not putting Americans in danger.

Hopefully he's not knowingly lying like Myorkas did about the open borders not putting Americans in danger.

The risks he mentions are easy to identify with the available data about the pandemic, nothing is out of what other experts would easily come with from the same readily available information from all over the world. The measures he mentions are also reasonable and have been repeated by others repeatedly. There is no reason to think any of this could be a lie.

Unless I see hospitals turning patients away or people dropping dead in the street then I won’t be bothering lining up for another useless injection

1.9 trillion was distributed about a year ago, much to states that now are talking "historic" surpluses.

If the money is desperately needed, do a claw back on the money not yet wasted, er, spent and use those funds.

30 trillion in debt and the government still just thinks asking for money at every turn makes any sense.

The vaccine rate for booster in USA is only 31% and stalled. Meanwhile, Covid-19 related deaths in USA just hit 1 million mark. "Liberty or Death" is an eternal American theme since Patrick Henry.

Perhaps what he's trying to say is that they will approve Novavax soon. It has longer lasting efficiency in clinical trials than the mRNA vaccines did. I'm hoping this will be the vaccine that ends the pandemic. However, it hasn't been approved long enough in many countries to see the long term data out in the real world. I hope that data starts coming in soon.

Novavax will should be available in Japan soon, if not now. If you haven't had your booster yet, see if this one is available for lasting immunity and fewer side effects.

In an Associated Press interview, Jha said Americans' immune protection from the virus is waning, the virus is adapting to be more contagious and booster doses for most people will be necessary — with the potential for enhanced protection from a new generation of shots.

About 40% of the people who got Omicron were vaccinated. One booster shot is enough. Many experts globally are doubting the need for a second booster.

I don’t think it makes sense,” Jha said. He emphasized that U.S. strategy is “very different,” with a focus on preventing serious illness and death.

If you compare 15,000 covid related deaths in China with 1,000,000 in the US; wait, what doesn't make sense?

The measures he mentions are also reasonable and have been repeated by others repeatedly.

Sounds like an unsubstantiated non-medical opinion.

Sounds like an unsubstantiated non-medical opinion.

Personal bias and the endless need to ignore available evidence is what makes it sound like that, it is terribly easy to find sources that prove this

If you stopped trying to guess what other people are or not and addressed the arguments instead you would immediately understand they can stand by their own value, no matter who repeats them, and specially no matter what you imagine other people to be or do.

I think China’s going to find it hard to continue this for the long haul.

It's not hard for the US to continue with a strategy that resulted in more than 1 million deaths, versus the few thousand or so China has endured?

Amazing that a health official would try to rationalize something like this.

Personal bias and the endless need to ignore available evidence is what makes it sound like that, it is terribly easy to find sources that prove this

Again, your argument diverts from the issue, and instead tries to argue on a different topic.

Back to the topic--the measures mentioned by the official are the same that have come from a country with over 1 million covid deaths. If someone wants to fight that number go ahead.

If you stopped trying to guess what other people are or not and addressed the arguments instead you would immediately understand they can stand by their own value, no matter who repeats them, and specially no matter what you imagine other people to be or do.

There is no guessing as we all know.

Again, your argument diverts from the issue, and instead tries to argue on a different topic.

It is clearly directed to an opinion that is easily contradicted by the evidence being linked, too bad that you don't like a personal opinion of yourse so easily disproved as invalid but you can't just call a valid counterargument discussing a different topic, if anything that would mean you are the one commenting off topic.

There is no guessing as we all know.

Know what exactly? the argument is there and you keep ignoring it, this would mean you understand it is valid and disproves you.
