The Oxford researchers also analysed reinfection patterns in people who had previously had COVID-19. The risk of reinfection with the Delta variant appeared particularly high in individuals previously infected by the Beta and Gamma lineages that emerged in South Africa and Brazil, respectively.

This was expected from previous information already reported but it is always good to have confirmation, and directly contradicts the belief that the natural infection provides better protection than the vaccines. People are at an increased risk with each new variant, so there is a lot of value in preventing widespread infection (that facilitates the adaptation of the virus) and that will lower the risk even for people that have been already infected with another variant.

The link to the Wuhan Institute of Technology was ridiculed, "debunked", and censored (such discussion was not allowed). The fact that a leak may have occured from the lab (accidentally) was considered heresay and was "debunked" by the so called fact checkers.

It is very easy to know why, vaccines do not have to be perfect to still be much better than not vaccinating. Your position is like saying that you keep finding examples where people died in accidents even if they were wearing seat belts so you find strange that everybody still push for their use.

The answer should be obvious, if the vaccine reduces importantly the risk then it is doing its job as intended, there is no information at the moment that can contradict this.

Hmmmm..... But there appears to be information that some vaccines cause severe side effects in certain age groups and gender groups. and those groups are currently considered very low risk of dying from Covid. As well as people who have already had Covid and therefore get no benefit from vaccines.

There are plenty of sites where that is being discussed professionally, with world class experts providing very pertinent information and scientific data to properly compare between risk and benefit, media outlets usually wait until those discussions reach a conclusion before printing that conclussion.

Yeah, strange how there is a constant aggressive push to get everyone vaccinated but no honest and open discussion on the real pros and cons, and on the safe and effective treatment options.

On the contrary, one good thing that can be seen here frequently is an effort to keep the discussion actually honest by debunking false or misleading information that some people keep using. For example trying to push unproved or even worse worthless treatments or insane conspiracies based on the belief that doctors and scientists hide drugs from their own families and friends just for money.

Regardless, I agree with other posters- vaccinate the vulnerable and then open up. There is questionable benefit to vaccinating the young and healthy.

Well, over the past year I have seen countless videos, facebook pages... being deleted. Including videos of experts like Pierre Kory testifying to a senate committee. People are afraid to even mention ivermectin or hydroxychloroquine on their podcasts.

Anyway, regarding the above article, I check a document from Public Health England:

Apparently, among the 60,624 people that showed up in the emergency with a confirmed delta infection, 35,521 were unvaccinated and 4,087 were fully vaccinated (at least 14 days after 2nd dose). Interestingly, 34 out of the 35,521 unvaccinated died, while 26 out of the 4,087 fully vaccinated died.

Is it just because the fully vaccinated tend to be older? I hope they will look into that...

Lots of new studies and lots of new guidance coming out from a variety of countries and health bodies. Seem to show vaccines are not fully effective and not risk free. And yet still many news outlets and large corporations are sticking to the "vaccinate everybody" mantra as a solution to "eliminating Covid" (which will never happen).

Again, the argument is that this is theoretically possible, not that it is realistically so, much less likely. There are countless possibilities that have not been proved false, some because there is no real merit on doing it, others because much more simple, easy and congruent explanations are simply better, for example the natural origin.

It is still theoretically possible (same as coming from outer space or being a biological attack from other countries against China), but the lack of evidence to support it, as well as the evidence that clearly points to a natural origin still means this is an extremely unlikely possibility.

This is the same as the beginning, people of all levels saying this may be the case, but would be a really long shot and would require really convoluted explanations were never censored, because that was always true. On the other hand people that even now say that this is the only possibility, confirmed by american intelligence and a scientific report are still believing in conspiracies, because none of those supposed reasons are real.
