A bit late? Why this ongoing obsession with Covid?

This one has special importance because representatives of governments, with the power of making decisions that affect how the pandemic is going to be dealt in the future, will attend.

So they will basically meet to better coordinate their actions and narratives in order to better exploit this "crisis" and gain more control over their populations.

With an election coming up, this may be the best and final chance for this executive to push and shove a vaccine-related earmarked appropriation through this congress.

More important, though, is the need for this executive to be seen providing a robust revenue stream of monies to fund a list of international programs, to "build better health security -- for everyone, everywhere."

I wonder who will be allowed to participate at this global summit.

There have been a few Covid summits already in various countries. They were very informative, yet we never hear about them...

Do you think any government need a summit if their intention is to do that? Controllin their populations is something they have been trying to do since always, controlling the pandemic is what requires coordination and cooperation.

Making up imaginary scenarios is not an argument against something that can actually have positive results coordinating a response in the next stage of the pandemic to avoid keeping measures that are not necessary, or putting forward better mechanisms to avoid having this situation again the next time a pathogen jumps from nature to humans.

In this age anybody with an interest can know even small details about any international event, it is not like they are done in hiding. This one has special importance because representatives of governments, with the power of making decisions that affect how the pandemic is going to be dealt in the future, will attend.
