I guess life in America has become so insufferable, people have to escape with alcohol. How does US alcohol use compare to other countries?

Having an efficient public transportation system during the morning and the night would go a long way toward reducing alcohol related deaths. Outside of a few big cities, it is non-existent.

When I visited Czech I saw pubs full at 11 am. America is full of prudes.

It's the classic gateway drug, but nobody wants to think of in in those terms. Cheap and easily accessed, the downside to getting caught is not the same as it is with
