So does this mean if you use a larger cup it still counts as one drink?

I wonder if they have studied the Japanese who are openly alcoholics and drink several drinks a day regularly and seem to still out live Americans.

There is a high proportion of heavy or regular drinkers diagnosed with mouth, throat, oesophogeal and gastric cancers. This includes those who do not smoke, but those that do both are more likely to get these cancers.

Alcohol does not cause cancer nor does tobacco but smokers increase their risks for cancers as do heavy drinkers.

Suggest google tobacco and cancer and see what scholarly articles show up. Whether it causes it or increase risk of, same net effect....your lifespan is shortened.

Drinking is the new smoking. For years Big Alcohol and friends in government kept this from everyone. Alcohol causes cancer.

To quote Father Jack Hackett ; "Drink, drink. drink. drink, drink, drink, drink........................."

When people read books, exercise, go hiking, watch movies, attend lectures less, the so called friends they have are found out actually not to be friends at all, but rather just same interest buddies going for the same mundane high they were looking for day after day.

Let's see here now, ummmmm have only 1-2 drinks a day and live an extra 1-2 years of life OR enjoy life for 50-60 years and die 1-2 years earlier. Oh what a tough choice!!

It sure took a long time for this important truth to come out. I learned a long time ago in medical school that alcohol is cytotoxic.
