Japan’s 100 yen shops are loved nationwide for offering an amazing range of affordable products, such as household goods, stationery, electrics and more, all for a very affordable price.
Here’s our recommendation for the best 100 yen shop must-haves for home decor. You can buy the following goods at Japan’s top ¥100 shops in stores or online at Daiso, CanDo and Seria (in-store only).
Artificial Succulent Plants

Daiso’s 100 yen shops are stocked with a wide selection of artificial plants and flowers that change according to the season. If you are wondering what greenery to buy, look no further than these adorable mini succulents. These small plants come in a variety of types and include stylish white or black pots. While the cacti can be individually purchased, try grouping them on a decorative tray or a wall shelf for a cute ensemble.

Wire Baskets

Daiso offers a diverse range of wire baskets that come in several sizes and shapes, such as rectangular, rounded or octagonal. These containers are available in monochromatic colors and can match anyone’s interior color design. While the baskets differ in price, the ones priced at ¥100 look great on dining tables or kitchen countertops to hold fruits or snacks. For some extra flair, consider placing rattan balls with LED string lights inside to create a fashionable centerpiece.

Dollar stores are dying out in the US. They just can't make it selling things that cheap. Reading the whole story here, Japanese 100 yen shops have all kinds of good stuff. I sure hope they keep going. A lot of these things are, well, cool.

We were in the 100 yen store yesterday, mostly for small kitchen items. Seria.
