Alcohol has the effect on some to help them see things more clearly unfortunately for the vast majority, it has the opposite effect which clouds their judgement and makes them do 'unfortunate things'. Not sure if this is a last ditch attempt to draw more people to 'religion' or a true attempt at opening up of a way of life to a modern world. Time will tell.
