TeamLab art exhibition turns acorn forest into wonderland of color

TeamLab is a group that creates art work with the latest digital technology in both Japan and overseas, such as “TeamLab Borderless” in Odaiba, Tokyo, their famous exhibitions at Shimogamo Temple, one of the world’s heritage sites in Kyoto and Singapore art museum.

TeamLab announced that starting Aug 1, inHigashi Tokorozawa park in Tokorozawa, Saitama Prefecture, “TeamLab; Resonating life in Acorn Forest” will be a regular exhibitions.

The countless numbers of egg-shaped objects placed in the forest park have sensory system that detects its own movements when it’s moved or pushed, and creates melodic sounds.

The trees will be lit up and dimming themselves on and off, as if they are breathing and corresponding to other surrounding trees by spreading the lights.

Exhibition period: Aug 1 and on.

Time: 12 p.m. - 10 p.m. (Entry access before 9 p.m.)

*For maintenance purposes, the park will be closed for one hour before the evening show starts.
