I had high hopes for Pepper but it sees like you can't really have a conversation with him. It only works if you are happy for Pepper to lead the conversation 90% of the time and just give a few simply answers to his questions. This might work well in Japan but I don't think people elsewhere will be impressed.

“You look a bit thin,” it coos in a soft childlike voice, free of any rigid mechanical accent. “You should watch what you eat.”

A U.S. version will obviously have to be quite different.

The U.S. version would need, "You are too fat" to go with "You should watch what you eat." Also, the robot would need to learn to dodge punches if it said that.

Maybe "You are too thin" would go with, " You should eat some ice cream," and everyone would be happy.
