I hope, no matter how naive this sounds, that they can find and put to rest every single person who lost their life there. Ganbatte!

It's a fine balancing act between preservation of personal treasures and progress in the recovery efforts. I wouldn't want to be the person on the scene who has to make the decision about whether or not to stop every two minutes to pick something out of the rubble. Bodies, of course. But maybe not the backpack your kid used 15 years ago.
