Drum Talk TV to cover Sado Island’s Earth Celebration Music Festival from Aug 16 to 18

Jarman International KK will be hosting Dan Shinder of Drum Talk TV (https://www.facebook.com/DrumTalkTV/) to cover the annual Earth Celebration (https://www.earthcelebration.jp/en/) music festival on Sado Island, Niigata Prefecture from Aug 16 to 18.

Drum Talk TV started in 2003 and has an organically built community of over 1 million followers from 100+ countries. Focusing on the world of percussion, fans from around the world follow DTTV in pursuit of knowledge about drumming of all styles and forms. DTTV is a diverse community of people from many different backgrounds, ages and cultures.

Sado’s world-renowned Kodo drum group not only perform live in concerts throughout the festival, but also welcome festivalgoers arriving by ferry with their lively taiko drumming. Drum Talk TV’s hosts are expected to experience Kodo’s drumming, discover the rich culture and history of Sado and to dive into this musical and artistic rendezvous.

Jarman International supports Sado Island’s efforts to reach more people around the world via Earth Celebrations’s message of coming together through music, art, and culture. With a side trip to Kochi Prefecture in the works, DTTV will complete their coverage of Japan with an insightful documentary about taiko drumming and culture in the Land of the Rising Sun. This visit is expected to increase international interest in lesser-known areas of Japan, and Jarman will continue to help international visitors discover the heart of the country’s many beautiful traditions.
