A special live performance and workshop program on Japanese arts and culture, NOBODY KNOWS, will be held at Dewa Sanzan Shrine in Tsuruoka City, Yamagata Prefecture, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Saturday Nov 2.

The event will include relaxing bamboo flute and guitar music to open your senses; informative talks on Shugendo, Noh and the local history; workshops on Shugendo and Noh (vocal, spiritual and body works); and an authentic Noh half-performance.

The event offers participants a chance to open their senses, learn and immerse themselves in traditional spirituality, wisdom and arts. Shugendo is a set of ancient spiritual practices held in the mountains. Noh is the world’s oldest continuing theater. These two are commonly rooted in unique Japanese perspectives on nature and spirit.

This is a special and new live program where you can embody traditionally valued senses of the body and spirit through music and workshops, and learn the deeper Japanese culture and arts.
