Nice that they can feel comfortable enough to remove their hijab but those costumes look awful.

If they are secular enough to do kuffar things like cosplay, they don´t need the hijab either.

People do many things they don't 'need' to, they do them because they want to. You seem to be missing the point that that is what is happening here. They want to do cosplay, and they want to wear the hijab. So they are doing both.
