Wonderful monk. Changing societal norms slowly but surely.

Does he actually know and understand what Buddhism is??

A monk? I think the better question is if you understand what it is.

No need to tell me, it's the media you should be talking to.

Obviously I did need to tell you, because you didn't know what the Q or the I stood for.

They're disparaging sexual minorities by not recognizing their relevance and giving some more attention than others.

You don't need to tell ME. I already know, which should be obvious as I presented the solution in my post.

Other religions could take lessons from Buddhism on how to be more "christlike".

FYI,

The first step towards equality would be to stop the practice of lumping minorities like Intersex, Genderfluid and Questioning into a "+".

LGBTQIA - the Q is for questioning and queer, and the I is for intersex. There's also LGBTTQQIAAP, and LGBTQQIP2SAA. The + is there to make the acronym manageable, but anyone who wants to add their own letter and write the whole thing out is free to do so. :)
