Genbukan isn't an off shoot as such. They are their own thing with a different philosophy to the Bujinkan; Jinenkan is another. There are very devoted, skilled and knowledgeable people in all three schools.

So it's pleasantly surprising to see Genbukan apparently involved in this course somehow rather than theme park acrobats. Hahaha.

This made me laugh. Well done.

The green belt has a Genbukan patch. It is an off shoot of the Bujinkan. Both organization are known for having suspect ninjutsu lineage.

Takamatsu took various information from the bujutsu schools he learned and was licensed in then repackaged them into a ninjutsu school and sold it to the public. None of Takamatsu's students have been able to prove an actual connection to a verifiable ninjutsu lineage.

Since then his students and offshoots schools have been trying to justify that they are ninjutsu school by seeking out other sources like Mie University then claim that it was always in their school's curriculum.

If you mean the founder of the Genbukan and Jinenekan both being direct students of the founder of the Bujinkan are not offshoots and left because of political strife then OK.

I have seen the Bujinkan doing the same and much worse in Embus and such. One only needs to look at youtube.
