what on earth is the pount if that? the priest is handing the parishoner the Host... then the worshipper puts it in his mouth... checkmate!

Churchgoers were advised to avoid hand contact and receive the Eucharist, which symbolizes the body of Jesus Christ, in the hand instead of the mouth.

Correction: In Catholic teaching, the Eucharist does not symbolize the body of Christ.

According to Catholic teaching, it IS the body of Christ.

Going to your religious activity is the same as doing any non-essential activity.

So why talk about it ?
