Not all bikinis risk wardrobe malfunctions

Do like they do in Okinawa. Buy a nice bikini and then cover it with short and t-shirt. So sad.

I was looking at bikini bottoms once and asked the sales clerk what the plastic thing was in there for. She said to keep it clean from dirty women or bleeding etc. I was grossed out. Gave my lady cash and said go get your own.

If the top of the "bikini" in this photo came down just a bit lower, and there were sleeves to cover the arms, and the bottom covered her thighs and calves, and there were shoes to cover her feet, it might just be acceptable in Middle Eastern countries.

It makes a think model look thick in the waist. Not good.

I wouldn't say it's hideous, but I would say it covers too much skin, including her bellybutton, which is required to be exposed if this suit is to be called a bikini.

Most of the suits here don't exactly flatter the Japanese body. I have noticed at the pool that many are going for racing suits that cover their legs down to the knees - and let me say nicely, at the speed they go, they certainly aren't swimmers.

What I would kill for is nice sport two piece suits from speedo and nike. Comfortable, hold the girls in and good training. Of course, nothing but the nasty granny suits or the "kawaiiiiiiiii" suits.

Yes, OK, so this swimwear looks and sounds great, but where do we get it in Japan? And do they sell the tops and bottoms separately?

I am tiny (UK size 6) but even I struggle to get into Japanese one piece swinsuits, and as for bikinis - forget it. If you are a slightly different size top and bottom (I am one size bigger on top) then you have no chance of finding a bikini to fit you here.

What do Japanese women do, because I am sure not all of them are the same size top and bottom either? I have to import mine from the UK because they have finally woken up to the fact that most women are different sizes top and bottom.

Why do some people have to insist that a little flash of something here and there is a devastating experience? Oh, I see this is from America, where all of those "some people" come from.

What is pictured might be "safe" for such over-stressed people, but its definitely not a bikini.

foxie - in Europe they'll ask you if you would like a bra with the panty, while buying swimming wear. And anyway - in many (let's say most) places, one can get along with neither on, and nobody is making a fuss out of it...

I liked what we are seeing in the new designs. Personally I feel the top part is a bit to much.

True models will not be able to show a maze of bare flesh--bocy, but on the beach they might like it for the beach to actual, possibly on a boat to slimming.

Finding the right bathing suit is not an easy task and is so difficult for women to find a swimsuit that they love and they feel fabulous in. But it's possible to find the perfect swimsuit for your body shape armed with the right information and an open mind. Most of the swimwear in the United States is not flattering to the figure and small enough in comparison to what I'd grown accustomed to, as far as Japanese swimwear goes. My favorite is the Brazilian swimwear because it embraces the female figure on a greater level being a bit more free with the feminie figure and the curves and the beauty of the figure and wearing smaller bathing suits. I feel that many American women do not feel comfortable with smaller bottoms and think that more fabric will be flattering. But I think it's the opposite because if you cover your whole behind, the butt will look bigger. For a lift and a more flattering look, I recommend the "V" shape. One piece swimsuits are also very elegant and can be as sexy as a two-piece, but if you have wide hips then avoid low rise bottoms. When you hit the stores always try on and view your swimsuit in as natural light as possible because dressing room lights are often harsh and unflattering. The most important thing is to choose the swimsuit that you feel most comfortable to display your family and friends. Last of all, remember you can't feel sexy in something you don't feel comfortable in.

But they have been selling those for years here in Japan and the models available here even look better than this one. And they come with swimming shorts too. I find them extremely practical and use them a lot. You can go swimming somethere and then walk back, do your shopping, eat out and nobody even notices that you are wearing swimwear. I once jumped with them into the sea in Europe and people admired me for being so free to just jump with clothes into the ocean. I even had to get some for my friends who were thrilled about them. You can find them in Jusco.

The swimsuit in the photo looks very nice, but it probably wouldn't work too well on a lady with a high waist/hip ratio - a slim waist and/or big bottom. The lower end of the top would ride or bunch up and the muffin top in between would not look very nice. And anything more than a C-cup would also make the whole thing appear top-heavy.

Like all swimwear, you need an almost perfect body to make it look good.

Personally, I enjoy the odd "wardrobe malfunction" by the fairer sex as long as it's tasteful... That said, C'MON ladies you can't expect to be hotter than the sand on the beach in the middle of a sunny summer day without pushing the limits, right? A few times I was surprised by the fact that the hotties wearing the dental floss bottoms with her teeny weeny tops weren't grabbing their tops as they run down the beach to the water. Talk about waiting for it to happen and it only of matter of time. I'm sure there are some ladies that do this on purpose.

That Loren tankini's top is way too big - cripes, it even covers her bellybutton! That is not a bikini.
