One state's battle over refugees reflects a divided America

Forced immigration is seldom a great thing. Not much outside of Missoula, Montana (except mountains) either. A foot or two of snow in the Winter and you expect warm weather people to do well. = People in Gov want to get paid to bring these immigrants in with little afterthought.

I think it's a bit ridiculous to claim that these people might be part of terrorist sleeper cells. However, I think it's legitimate to worry about their children and grandchildren turning to radical Islam for a sense of identity if they fail to integrate into American society. No background check is going to help with this.

The reason that Russian, Irish, Italian, Indian and Chinese immigrants have succeeded in America is because they didn't have God whispering into their ear, telling them that they are morally superior to their new neighbors. In my opinion, the key test for successful immigration/integration is to ask whether the immigrant fathers would be happy to see their daughters marrying local majority population men. The answer is usually 'no' when it comes to migrants from across the Middle East.

The title of this article should be corrected to: "One state's battle over refugees reflects a divided USA" ... America (North, Central & South and rhe Caribbean) is the name of the entire continent from Alaska in the north to Tierra del Fuego in the south. [Amerika ga tairiku desu, Bekoku ga kuni desu].
