Thanks to our subconsciousness at work, some say a person’s character can be determined from the way he or she sleeps, which can make for interesting conversation starters.

In the latest personality test, Japanese variety show "Getsuyo kara Yofukashi" recently challenged viewers with the simple act of drawing. There are different approaches to writing out the number “8” or drawing a square, and in the same vein, different ways to draw the humble five-pointed star.

According to the variety show, the point from which a person starts drawing the star determines his or her personality.

▼ So where did you start?

The traits for each starting point were listed as:

1: An eager leader.

2: A flirty individual who wants to be loved.

3: A romantic with big dreams.

4: Meticulous and creative

5: A genuine person who wishes to lead a fulfilling life.”

The star personality test caught the attention of netizens:

“I can only draw a star from number four.”

“If it’s a five-pointed star, it’s number five. But I get a feeling I start from three sometimes too.”

“I’m just surprised there are people who draw from points other than number one.”

“Eh? Don’t we all draw it from the top? This is a culture shock!”

“It’s number four for me.

I personally draw my stars from number one, and going by the variety show’s list of characteristics, I’d say it’s spot on for me. How do you draw yours? Does it match your traits? If you enjoyed this test, why not give the fist personality test a whirl too?

Wouldn't this just reveal how you were taught to draw a star?

The article fails to mention anything about being left or right handed. I'm left handed and start at #3 and I always have done. I doubt if it actually means anything though.

Do you brush your teeth from front to back or back to front? Do you do the top or bottom first? I'm sure they could turn this into a personality profile too.

I start at 4. I think it's true that I'm meticulous but I'm not sure about creativity.

The only proper and approved stating point is from #4. It is like with breaking eggs only from the small end. Any alternatives are severe forms of deviationism.

I start in the center and swallow up the numbers, I am a black hole personality.

I start at 2. I'm certainly not very flirty and doesn't everyone want to be loved? This was fun in middle school, but you shouldn't take personality tests like these serious.

I always start at point 3. It just feels right. I used to draw from point 1, but the stars always came out ugly so I stopped. I suppose I do have big dreams (in terms of future goals as well as actual dreams while sleeping), but I'd say I'm more creative than a dreamer. Starting at point 4 would hurt my brain though. I'm settled on 3 and staying that way.

Not that I buy into this, I'm just throwing in how I do it. This is about as accurate as horoscopes, palm reading and tarot: ie only as accurate as you convince yourself it is.

Wow, and people actually believe this?

The same people who believe you know someone's personality due to their blood group.

I start with 2 to 4 because that's how some teacher showed us when I was about six.

But if some social scientist trying to justify his employment situation wants to say it's because I'm a cat person and not a dog person and I prefer horror movies to musicals, he can knock himself right out.

Wow, and people actually believe this?

Wen you raise a generation not to question anything they just automatically agree with the majority. Just look at the amount of Japanese people who still think.blood type is linked to personality.

Wow, and people actually believe this?

For this kind of star I start at number 4. For Megan David I start at the very top.

I start in the angle between 5 and 1, I don't make crossing lines and no spike is going up vertically. That shows that I'm not Japanese ?
